UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central, US:CO:Colorado Springs FTE: Full Time, 1.Shift: Rotating Provides nursing leadership for a specific shift and unit/area. Supervises and mentors staff during assigned shift. Determines staffing level and assignments based on staff availability, staff abilities, census, and patient acuity. Provides direct patient care as needed. Floats between staff to assist with problem-solving. Evaluates the effectiveness of patient care, including formal evaluation, and identifies any issues that affect desired patient outcomes. Responds to complaints about patient care and related services, and manages through established channels. Ensures staff has necessary equipment and supplies to provide safe, quality patient care. Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years experience. - Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider. 1 year of nursing experience.
